Official Update from the Geist Community Board of Trustees – Q2 2026

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Dear Respected Community Members,

As-Salamu Alaykum.

We pray this message finds you in the best of health and Iman. The Geist Community Board of Trustees has just adjourned our second quarterly meeting of the year 2026, and we are pleased to share the following updates regarding the progress of our beloved masjid.

1. Construction Update – Expansion Project
   We are pleased to report that all necessary documentation has been submitted to the city officials. We are currently in the final review phase and awaiting the issuance of the official building permit. Barring any delays, we are estimating the commencement of ground construction for September 2026, Insha’Allah (God willing). This is a significant milestone, and we ask for your continued Du’as for a smooth and timely process.
2. Financial Update
   As of this quarter, the GCC’s total liquid cash available stands at 177,805, averaging approximately $25,000 per month in operational costs. While we are financially stable, we are approaching the critical phase of breaking ground on our expansion. We kindly urge you to continue your generous support and consistent contributions, as your financial backing is essential to bringing this project to fruition.
3. Website & Social Media Revamp
   To foster stronger communication and community engagement, we are actively working to revamp our website and social media presence. Our goal is to increase interaction through more structured halaqas and beneficial events. We will be updating you next week on our progress regarding the hiring of a professional firm to manage our digital content and communications strategy. We look forward to your feedback and participation in these upcoming initiatives.
4. Security Enhancements
   The safety of our community remains a top priority. We are in the process of upgrading our camera systems and installing additional equipment to ensure full 360-degree coverage of the entire premises. This will allow us to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for all attendees.

We are a single body, and each one of you plays a vital role in the strength of this community. We ask for your active participation—whether through financial support, volunteering your time, or sharing your expertise in communications, security, or construction.
