A FEW WORDS

ABOUT GEIST COMMNITY CENTER

Mosque Donation - General Fund

The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad – Sal Allaahu Alayhi wa Sallam – said:

“Whoever builds a Mosque, seeking the pleasure of ALLAH, ALLAH shall build a house for him in Paradise .” [Bukhari]

May ALLAH (SWT) reward you for your good deeds and bless you in this life and hereafter, where nothing will count except what you have prepared for that day. AMEEN.

The most burdensome prayers for the hypocrites are the ‘Isha’ prayer and the Fajr prayer. If only they knew what (reward) there is in them, they would come to them even if they had to crawl.

LET'S TALK

Message From the Board of Directors

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
We are on the verge of finishing another blessed Ramadan and hope to start a new, different, and better life after Ramadan In Sha Allah. Geist Community Center ( Masjid Omer ) will be hosting an Eid prayer for you and your families on Wednesday – April 10, 2024, at the green area of GCC @ 14500 E 96th Street, McCordsville. Takbeerat will start at 8:00 AM and Salat will start at 8:30 AM sharp In Sha Allah. Please be ON TIME as there will be only one scheduled Eid prayer at GCC.
It is Mustahib to go to Eid prayer using one route and come back via a different route. Rasul Allah ( Peace and blessings be upon him ) used not to go out on the morning of the Eid Al Fitr until he had eaten some dates…of which he had eaten an odd number ( Al Bukhari 953 )
If there is an overflow in parking, one can use sidewalks or close by Gourdouara as will be instructed by the Officers on duty but please do not park on the sides of the main road unless instructed to do so by the Officers.
We already have three large side-closed tents mainly for men. Women & children can use the inside of the building. We will have tarps in the tents and outside but we are suggesting bringing your own prayer mats ( and plastic under them) too. There is no mandated masking but we encourage wearing masks, particularly for yourself if you are not feeling well or at a higher risk.
On Eid day, Masjid will be serving Tea, Coffee & donuts, weather permitting.
We will have our regular Post EID potluck for families on Sunday – April 14th, 2024, at GCC between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM in the Masjid green area In Sha Allah, and there will be more than one large tent. Please bring a main dish of ONLY “ HALAL ZABIHA “ meat ( unless you are bringing a vegetarian dish), and a dessert. Masjid will provide Tea/coffee, Paper Plates, Napkins, Water bottles, and disposable Cutlery. There will be one or more Bounce houses for children too In Sha Allah. Please clean up before you leave. It is a responsibility.
Try to have presents for your children to make them remember EID, send some food to your non-Muslim neighbors, and forgive your Muslim friends and family members who were hurtful to you.
We need VOLUNTEERS for the setup and cleanup on both days and please communicate with us individually if you are planning to help.

EID MUBARAK to all of you and prayers for another blessed upcoming Eid
