ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar. So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone]. Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.
Dear Brother and sisters,
We are in the midst of the best days of the year, the first ten days of Dhul Hajj and hoping that you are using your time wisely and judiciously by trying to Fast first nine days of Dhul Hajj, Giving abundant charity for the sake of Allah, Feeding the poor, Continuously asking for forgiveness and finally planning the Qurbani on the tenth day of Dhul Hajj by choosing a good animal. COVID -19 has changed the lives of many and we are trying to keep the safe distancing yet attempting to fulfill our religious and social responsibilities.
Like the last EID, GCC is blessed to have an open green area at the Masjid site that will be used for the Salat ul EId on Friday – July 31, 2020. We will have some open prayer areas and some tents to make different options considering one’s own comfort zone. Takbeerat will start at 8:00 AM and we will have our Salat ul Eid at SHARP 8:30 AM In Sha Allah. If you are coming as a family, sisters will have a separate area and can use inside of the building too.
Please do Wudu at home. Bring your own prayer mats, Wear MASK, and keep social distancing during and after the prayers.
There will be parking available at the site and police will be able to redirect you if we are going to go for any parking overflow. One can use next door Sikh Temple ( which can accommodate 15-20 cars ) with a walk of fewer than five minutes ( Drop your family first ) OR if you are parking in the front subdivision, please park at a safe distance and try to leave ASAP. Please plan to come a little earlier. GCC will be serving donuts and drinks.
There will be Friday prayers on the EID day as scheduled starting at 1:55 PM for those who would like to come and attend.
